The bell: what it tells you

Everyday work
Where to find the things meant for you personally, and how the read and unread states work.

The bell sits at the top right of every page, next to your name. It holds the things meant for **you** — not everything happening in the queue.

A red number on the bell is how many you haven't opened yet. Click it to see the list.

What lands there

  • **A ticket was assigned to you** — by a colleague, or automatically by an assignment rule.
  • **A ticket you own went overdue** — its due date passed and it's still open.

Assigning a ticket to yourself doesn't notify you. You were there.

Read and unread

Unread ones have a blue tint and a blue dot. Once you've opened one the tint and dot go and the text turns grey, so you can tell at a glance what's new without reading a word. **Mark all read** at the top of the panel clears them in one go.

Clicking a notification takes you straight to the ticket it's about.

A ticket that nobody owns never sends an overdue notification — there's no one to send it to. Those show up in red on the queue itself, so check the board as well as your bell.
